Google may face new competition in the search space according to Reuters open AI, the company behind Chat G BT, will announce its new AI-based search engine as soon as Monday.

For more information, we will introduce our own Dan, how Dan, thank you very much for being here.

This would be right before a key Google event that we know is coming up next week.

So what should we expect?

Yeah, man, it’s something that’s kind of almost predictable, but it’s also obviously a huge deal.

So the thinking here according to Reuters and previously talked about, reported by Bloomberg is that the uh chatbot is basically a kind of, you know, scouring the internet for information to pull uh data about you and, and, and i give you uh you know generated content right?

So because you can do that natively, it’s, it’s uh uh search engine friendly, and look, Google is already doing this with their search generation expertise.

Um, I signed up for, the betas for that uh or early access.

And I do a regular Google search.

And in my, my app I get generative uh text at the top uh and then links uh in uh right below that and then the regular uh links that you would get when you do a normal search uh below those as well.

So, uh, that’s something that bing does that, but for an open AI to do that, I think it’s a much bigger deal just because of how popular GP T chat is and because of how much name recognition there is now, behind O Open AI and Chat GP T. So, you know, is this going to be something that replaces Google?

That’s a pretty big long shot.

Um, you know, Microsoft is, you know, the biggest company in the world right now, um, in terms of market cap, and they’re barely breaking even when it comes to market share from Google, uh, you’re literally saying Google something.

Um, you don’t say I drink anything and you probably don’t say I, you know, chat GP T or whatever they’re going to call it, uh something.

So, you know, I, I really think it’s interesting though, the way they have to announce it, uh, on Monday, just a day before Google’s IO conference, where they’ll probably have a lot more news their experience at search.

So I think overall it’s something that, like I said, is predictable or predictable.

It makes a lot of sense to them.

Hmm, but that’s it, it’s going to take a lot of work to try to step on the Google Dan throne.

How reliable is the information?

Because, um, I, I think a lot of people who even use GP T chat, whether it’s casually or even on a daily basis, still have a lot of questions about the reliability of that information.

So how big of a factor is that going to be when we talk about the potential here for future growth, maybe look at, uh, you know, hallucinations as they’re called, which is just, you know, misinformation, um, which is probably more the right way to describe it properly.

They’re not yet, are they?

So it’s not like this isn’t still a problem.

There are ways these companies mitigate it in some of their models.

Part of that is reducing the size of the model.

So there’s less than, uh, you know, not as much information.

So there is less chance of error.

Um, it’s more focused.

So those are some of the ways, uh, there’s also something called rag that companies use to help reduce hallucinations.

But, you know, I, I think when it comes to something like a search engine, you know, you want to make sure you’re getting everything as accurately as possible.

And so it’s going to be interesting to see if they, if they’ve done something uh in some way to, you know, either completely reduce or, or almost eliminate, uh, you know, these hallucinations, uh, maybe they work with Microsoft and, and Bing has helped them, or maybe they’re just doing it themselves and figured out how to do it.

Um, but you know, it’s going to be interesting and obvious if you’re looking for something online, you know, if I’m looking, uh, I don’t know, like how to trim my cat’s nails.

I don’t want it to say “take your cat’s legs off” or anything like that, you know, like some weird misinformation.

So, uh, they’re going to have to ensure that there’s a lot of accuracy there, which would be painful.

Toll.

Thank you very much as always.

And thanks for all your help on my point Also coming out on Monday.

I teased you so I really appreciate you.

Thank you so much.
