Summer Game Fest 2024 is just around the corner. It was scheduled to happen this week, and the annual event quickly replaced the deceased E3 by stepping on its corpse. Every year we bring Geoff Keighley to the stage, revealing and showcasing a great abundance of great games. Before this year’s event begins, here you will find Summer Game Fest 2024 exciting leaks, rumors and confirmed studios.

We were recently given the PlayStation State of Play for the end of May 2024. This event announced the release date of the Silent Hill 2 remake and also finally confirmed the rumors of God of War Ragnoark coming to PC. We also got a look at Sony’s new multiplayer game launching on PS5 and PC, Concord, as well as a new horror experience for PSVR2 set in Ridley Scott’s Alien universe.

State of Play was a fun 30-minute event, but Summer Game Fest 2024 will be much bigger. There will be plenty more surprises and reveals, and there are heaps of exciting rumors and leaks ahead of this weekend’s holiday.

Information on Summer Game Fest 2024 is leaking

Although we just had a State of Play event, reports suggest that Sony will still be heavily involved in Summer Game Fest 2024. One of the leaked games that didn’t make an appearance at State of Play is LEGO Horizon Adventures.

According to a reliable source, Tom Henderson, of Insider Gaming, the LEGO Horizon Adventures reveal trailer is apparently done and ready to go. It’s a LEGO game set entirely in the Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West universe featuring Aloy, and it may appear at Summer Game Fest since it wasn’t at State of Play.

Black Myth Wukong is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and its arrival has been basically confirmed thanks to a quick snippet of gameplay included in the Summer Game Fest 2024 trailer. While its appearance is essentially guaranteed, a leak from Lunatic Ignus states, that there will be a new trailer accompanied by a price when pre-orders begin.

Lunatic Ignus also reports that The First Descendant looter-shooter will be at the event and will announce a release date. Although not specifically mentioned for SGF, reliable leaker Billbil_kun, via dealabs, reports that the Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater remake is about to re-emerge with pre-orders and a 2025 release.

As well as the show hosted by Geoff Keighley, there will be an Xbox demo over the weekend. That will happen on June 9, and The Verge reports that there will be a new Gears of War announcement. Additionally, The Verge says there will be release date announcements for Avowed, Indiana Jones, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Rumors

Away from the leaks, there are rumors of what could be presented. Starting with 2K, it was confirmed by summergamefest on Twitter that 2K plans to “unveil the next iteration in one of 2K’s biggest and most beloved franchises.” Nothing has been leaked, but it could be Borderlands 4, which is confirmed to be in active development, or, hopefully, it could be the much-rumored Bioshock 4 instead.

Sticking with 2K, reports suggest that 2K are set to continue the FIFA legacy left by EA. Apparently it will be fully licensed with 35 leagues and 800 teams and maybe we will see an announcement made in the SGF.

EA has been confirmed for the event, so naturally fans are hoping we’ll finally see Dragon Age 4. Dubbed Dreadwolf, Dragon Age 4 has been long overdue. Hopefully it will make an appearance on SGF, especially since listings have recently appeared on the PSN and Microsoft Store. It might be too optimistic, but maybe we’ll get a trailer with a release date and pre-orders.

While it didn’t specifically leak for SGF, it’s possible we’ll see Valve’s new multiplayer shooter, Deadlock. Deadlock images have leaked online, revealing a new Overwatch hero-style shooter. It’s reportedly passed a major playtest, so maybe it’ll make an appearance at Geoff Keighley’s event, especially since it’s trademarked.

Kingdom Hearts fans have been speculating that Kingdom Hearts 4 is coming. Unfortunately, Geoff Keighley told fans to prepare for disappointment, so don’t expect to see Sora’s next adventure in the storefront, especially when Square Enix isn’t listed as a partner.
