Elden Ring Streamer Beats Shadow of the Erdtree’s Final Boss on PS5 and PC Simultaneously – Using DualSense and Dance Pad – IGN

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the final boss of the Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree.

Elden Ring streamer MissMikkaa successfully defeated the final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree on PC and PlayStation 5 simultaneously using both a dance pad and DualSense, marking the end of an impressive challenge.

“2X RADAHN IS DEFEATED! 4 days of 239 non-stop attempts (14 hours) in my Ultimate Challenge run where I play Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree twice simultaneously, on dance mat and controller,” the streamer tweeted after beating the DLC. “I really thought this might be impossible in DLC, but god…I did it.”

Shadow of the Erdtree’s bosses are legendarily difficult at the best of times—focusing on a single Elden Ring game using a traditional controller is no doubt what FromSoftware president Hidetake Miyazaki and his team had in mind when they set the difficulty for the game. However, none of the DLC’s pantheon of enemies is as fearsome as its final boss, the Promised Husband Radahn, who attacks the player with a relentless barrage of physical, gravity, and holy attacks, along with the disturbingly powerful meteor strike seen in the base game.

Just how MissMikkaa managed to overcome two of these beasts simultaneously while controlling Tarnished using a traditional controller for one and button presses triggered by stepping on a pressure-sensitive dance mat for another is honestly a bit beyond us.

The streamer was able to complete a full run of DLC this way, while suffering “685 (x2)” deaths from Tainted in the process. 35% of them are done in the final Radahn boss fight. MissMikkaa was also kind enough to share her full build, which may prove to be a useful template for players struggling with the climax of the DLC. “Final build was level 194 with 60 Vigor, 54 Stamina and Strength, 40 Faith and 33 Mind,” tweeted MissMikkaa. “I used Giant Crusher with Prayerful Strike. The talismans were: Crimson Seed Talisman +1, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Shard of Alexander and Golden Braid I used Holy Shrouded Cracked Tear and Opaline Hard Tear in my flask.’

Of course, this isn’t the first time MissMikkaa has danced her way to internet fame by completing insane challenges using an unconventional controller. She had already defeated Shadow of the Erdtree using the dance pad earlier this month, but apparently decided that fighting just one boss at a time just wasn’t hard enough. She also showed off her gaming talent last year by defeating two instances of Malenia, Blade of Miquella simultaneously using the same dual controller setup used against Promised Consort Radahn.
